Description
Springs Valley Community School Corporation is soliciting sealed proposals for the construction of a FEMA Safe Room, which will be an addition to their existing gymnasium. The project is located at 326 S. Larry Bird Blvd., French Lick, IN 47432. Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Springs Valley High School Media Center. All work will be awarded under a single General Contract. Bidders are required to use Form 96 (Revised 2013), Parts I and II, and must be Registered Plan Holders. Electronic bid documents can be downloaded free of charge after completing a Plan Holder List form via https://www.towerpinkster.com/bid-information. Addenda and updates will be emailed to registered plan holders. The project is subject to a Davis-Bacon Wage Scale. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal is required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, with an approved surety company. These bonds must remain in effect for one year after final acceptance of the work. Documentation will be required to comply with FEMA grant conditions. The base bid may be held for up to 45 days, and additive alternate bids may be held for up to 60 days.
