Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane requires the purchase of a DATRON Neo plus Pro Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine. This acquisition includes all necessary components for proper configuration, as well as set-up and training. The equipment is considered mission-critical and is needed to support SPY-6 Depot activation, replace aging equipment, and provide direct fleet support. Delivery is required within ten (10) weeks after the date of award. This procurement is being conducted on a sole-source basis with DATRON USA, Inc. (Cage Code 7CRQ0), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), under FAR 12.201-1 for commercial items. The DATRON Neo plus Pro machine is essential for compatibility and interoperability with existing SPY-6 depot operations. Purchasing directly from the OEM ensures proper installation, comprehensive training, and engineering support, which are not available from other suppliers. Reconfiguring existing inventory to accept a different machine would incur costs exceeding $70,000 and lead to significant delays in engineering projects and fleet support schedules. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, but the government reserves the discretion to not compete the requirement. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
