Description
This solicitation is for Alodized Aluminum Sheets, with specific engineering specifications provided. The material required is non-heat-treated aluminum alloy 5052-H38, with various thickness and size options detailed in the specifications. The finish must be Alodine, producing a light, tight iridescent coating. The material must meet specific tensile strength, elongation, and chemical composition requirements. Dimensional tolerances for width, length, and diagonals are also specified. The surface must be smooth and burr-free. The material needs to be suitable for reflective sheeting and have increased corrosion resistance, tested to withstand at least 168 hours of salt spray exposure per MIL-C-5541. Packaging and shipping are to be per the Purchase Order. A mill certification of compliance is required with each material lot.
