Description
The City is seeking bids for construction work at its landfill to install passive landfill gas vents in Cell 1. The work includes drilling and installing 4-inch HDPE piping, washed gravel and clean-soil backfill, bentonite plugs, wellbore reinforcement grates, and turbine vents. The contractor is also responsible for mobilization and demobilization, drilling past obstructions or at reduced advancement rates, wellbore abandonment when needed, dust control, and maintaining haul roads and work areas. The owner will provide soil for backfill, certain site services, and independent construction quality assurance. Bidders must include a bid security equal to 5% of the total bid. Performance, statutory, and maintenance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required of the awarded contractor. The proposal includes a bid worksheet and bidder qualification information; the work is to be completed within 90 days after the work order is issued.
