Description
Ben Franklin Transit is soliciting sealed bids for on-call construction and installation services at bus stops throughout its service area in Benton and Franklin Counties. The work includes demolition, excavation, grading, concrete shelter and amenity pads, sidewalks, curbs, retaining walls, ADA-compliant improvements, site restoration, temporary traffic control, signage, permitting, utility coordination, and related labor and equipment. The contractor will also install shelters and windscreens, benches, display cases, lean rails, bicycle racks, bicycle repair stations, garbage cans and compactors, and similar transit amenities. Work will be issued through individual work orders with site-specific scopes and lump-sum pricing based on the awarded unit prices. The initial contract term is one year, with an option for one additional year, and the combined contract value is not to exceed $2,000,000. A 5% bid security is required, and payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the maximum contract award amount are required after award.
