Description
The City of Milton is soliciting bids for the demolition and removal of three three-story office buildings at One, Two, and Three Verizon Place, measuring approximately 144,219, 144,389, and 144,718 square feet. The scope includes demolition of identified retaining walls and other designated items, removal of construction and demolition waste to a permitted landfill, provision of equipment, dumpsters, trucks, labor, operators, spotters, and drivers, and restoration and cleanup of disturbed areas. The contractor must provide erosion and sedimentation control, tree-save fencing, traffic control, safety measures, utility coordination, permits, inspections, and compliance with applicable Georgia, federal, EPA, EPD, OSHA, GDOT, and asbestos regulations. If asbestos or other hazardous materials are encountered, applicable testing, abatement, handling, and disposal requirements apply; the contractor or proposed subcontractor must hold a current Georgia asbestos abatement license and demonstrate at least three years of verifiable asbestos-removal experience. The bid requires a proposed demolition method and pricing for each building and supplemental work items.
