Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to replace the ribbed metal roof on Building 1A at the Northern Great Plains Agricultural Research Laboratory. The work includes removing and disposing of existing roof panels, flashing, trim, and venting; installing new 24-gauge minimum galvalume trapezoidal PBR/R-panels with ridge caps, closures, sealants, pipe boots, fasteners, weather-stripping, color-matched trim, exhaust covers, and vents; and replacing five sewer stacks, three chimney stacks, one exhaust hood, and one television antenna. The contractor must inspect and repair or replace defective purlins, insulation, and surfaces as needed, obtain required permits, and comply with applicable codes, standards, and prevailing wage requirements. The quotation must include a transmittal summary letter, completed and signed SF 1442, completed Schedule of Items in Excel format, and a technical proposal with a technical approach and at least three similar past-performance references from contracts awarded within the past five years. The technical approach is limited to five pages. The project is expected to be completed within 120 calendar days after the notice to proceed, and award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror with acceptable or neutral past performance.
