Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to remove existing concrete and construct a new approximately 6-foot-by-48-foot-by-6-inch concrete drainage pad at Building 11. The work includes demolition and disposal, site preparation, fill placement and compaction, landscaping, 1/2-inch rebar at 2-foot centers, 4,000-psi non-fibrous concrete, perimeter backer, broomed finish, expansion grooves, drainage toward the north elevation, utility protection, and cleanup. Two separately priced options are included: replacement of an approximately 25-foot-by-30-foot concrete pad at Building 28, including drainpipe reinstallation; and replacement of an approximately 28-foot-by-90-foot concrete ramp at Building 12, including heavy grooves and removal and replacement of existing railings. Quotations must include pricing for the base and both options, a technical proposal demonstrating technical capacity and schedule compliance, and any explanation of requirements the quoter cannot meet. Award is expected to go to the lowest-priced technically acceptable responsible quoter; the project should be completed within 60 days after notice to proceed.
