ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and recorded. Description
The Town of East Hartford is seeking a qualified developer to purchase and redevelop its vacant, approximately 0.26-acre property at 304 Main Street. The former firehouse site is zoned B-2 Neighborhood Business and may support neighborhood-scale commercial, mixed-use, office, restaurant, café, retail, or other permitted uses that revitalize the Main Street corridor and generate pedestrian activity. The selected redeveloper will enter into a Land Development Agreement and be responsible for acquisition, due diligence, surveying, engineering, architectural design, permitting, utility work, construction, insurance, taxes, and other development costs. Proposals should address the proposed uses and development program, preliminary site and building plans, schedules, estimated completed value, construction budget, purchase price, financing plan, developer qualifications, similar projects, financial strength, and supporting documentation. The Town will evaluate development quality, feasibility, community benefit, experience, financial strength, proposed schedule, and purchase price.
