Description
The Bureau of Indian Education is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract to replace flooring in Building 121 (Navarre Hall) at Haskell Indian Nations University. The work includes removing multiple existing floor coverings, primarily carpet and tile; preparing the concrete substrate; and installing approximately 13,000 square feet of commercial-grade luxury vinyl tile and rubber wall base. The contractor is responsible for labor, materials, equipment, substrate testing, moisture mitigation, crack repair, leveling, final cleaning, and compliance with applicable codes and ADA accessibility requirements. Furniture must be moved and stored off-site because the building has no storage space, and the building will remain occupied during performance. The period of performance is 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The amendment confirms that the 180-day period applies and states that first-tier subcontractors must qualify as Indian Economic Enterprises to be treated as similarly situated entities under the applicable subcontracting limitations.
