Description
Gardner Edgerton School District is soliciting a contractor to screen existing wood athletic floors and apply one coat of MFMA-approved, water-based urethane finish at district high school, middle school, elementary school, and choir room facilities. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment; protect adjacent areas; remove dust and waste; submit product safety and manufacturer documentation; and provide a minimum one-year workmanship and adhesion warranty. Approved products include Bona, Basic Coatings, or equivalent systems meeting applicable MFMA and ASTM standards, with slip resistance, abrasion resistance, low odor, fast curing, and compatibility with existing coatings. The agreement has a five-year term. High school main and auxiliary gyms and middle school gyms are serviced annually, while elementary gyms and the high school choir room follow a three-year rotation beginning in fiscal year 2028/2029. Work must occur during winter break, with each scheduled floor fully cured and usable by January 2 of the applicable service year. Bidders must submit pricing for the service rotation and identify any proposed deviations from the scope. Award will be based on responsiveness, responsibility, experience, qualifications, service approach, and cost.
