Description
The City of Lawrence is soliciting bids for construction improvements along Willshire Drive, including removal and replacement of pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer infrastructure, existing pipes and structures, a mailbox cluster, fencing, and signage. The work includes approximately 712 linear feet of 24-inch polypropylene pipe, reinforced concrete pipe, storm sewer inlets and junction boxes, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA ramp improvements, asphalt patching, utility adjustments, and driveway reconstruction. The contractor must also provide construction staking, mobilization, earthwork, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, erosion and sediment controls, construction entrance, permanent seeding, fertilizing and mulching, utility coordination, and restoration. The project manual requires a 120-calendar-day completion period after the Notice to Proceed, a 5% bid bond, performance and statutory bonds, and a maintenance bond after substantial completion.
