Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals for comprehensive cleaning and care of the Belvidere dual-site interstate rest area on Interstate 90. The contractor will perform daily restroom and facility cleaning, grounds and lawn care, litter and recycling management, picnic-area maintenance, water and sewage-system monitoring, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, kiosk and video-surveillance-system maintenance, and snow and ice removal from designated areas. The work also includes annual deep cleaning, painting as needed, sidewalk edging, equipment and supply provision, inspections, reporting, and compliance with the Department’s Caretaker’s Manual. The contractor must provide personnel on duty each day, with expanded daily coverage during specified peak-season periods, and submit a technical response, executive summary, completed RFP form, cost proposal, prior-contract information, and related proposal materials.
