Description
The City of Wessington Springs is soliciting sealed bids for construction improvements to its wastewater treatment system. The work includes excavation and fill, pond dike shaping, erosion-control measures, gravel surfacing, riprap and fabric filter installation, seeding, fencing and gates, pond pumping, sanitary sewer work, manhole replacement, sewer connections, lift-station wet-well cover replacement, and electrical conduit replacement for a lift-station pump. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications. The project is unit-price based and requires compliance with applicable South Dakota Revolving Fund, federal labor, civil-rights, affirmative-action, Buy American, disadvantaged-business participation, and telecommunications-equipment requirements. The MBE goal is 1.5 percent and the WBE goal is 2.4 percent. An American Iron and Steel certification form is included with the bidding documents and must accompany the bid. Bidders must also submit the required South Dakota sales and use tax and excise tax license documentation.
