Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals for comprehensive cleaning and care of the Chamberlain Interstate 90 rest area, a single-site facility located at milepost 264.4. Required work includes daily restroom and facility cleaning, litter and trash management, lawn and grounds care, sidewalk maintenance, snow and ice removal from designated pedestrian areas, recycling, annual deep cleaning, inspections, recordkeeping, and maintenance of water, sewage, heating, lighting, kiosk, and video-surveillance systems. The contractor must also perform specified minor plumbing and electrical repairs, maintain required on-duty coverage during peak periods, provide necessary vehicles, equipment, and related operating materials, comply with dress and safety-apparel requirements, and furnish required insurance certificates. The proposal must include the completed RFP form, an executive summary, a detailed technical response, a cost proposal, and information on at least three similar prior or current service contracts. Offeror inquiries must be submitted by email to Lexi Lassle with the subject line "RFP #26RFP19918"; subsequent clarifications and modifications will be communicated by email and posted on the state's e-procurement system.
