Description
The City of Homestead, through Homestead Public Services Energy, is soliciting bids from qualified and experienced contractors to furnish and install a prefabricated, high-strength concrete perimeter barrier wall at the energized Lucy 138kV Switching Station. The project is intended to harden critical electric infrastructure against physical threats and environmental damage. Contractors must have documented experience furnishing and installing similar barrier walls at energized electric utility facilities and must perform the work in accordance with the specifications, building code, and schedule requirements. The solicitation also requires the bidder to submit the specified bid forms, acknowledgments, bid bond and delivery proof, licenses and registrations, SAM and E-Verify documentation, insurance evidence, qualifications and references, warranty information, mobilization time, subcontractor information, and any exceptions to the specifications or terms. The City encourages participation from MBE, WBE, and DBE businesses. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose bid conforms to the solicitation and provides the best value.
