Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. is seeking proposals for materials supporting the reframing and insulator replacement of approximately 11 miles of its 138 kV radial transmission Line #5 between the Tavernier and Islamorada substations. Requested materials include glass and polymer insulators, pole-line hardware, bolts, nuts, washers, brackets, clamps, connectors, anchor shackles, and Stockbridge vibration dampers. Items must match the listed manufacturers and part numbers or be approved direct equivalents; alternate offerings require product cut sheets. Proposers must provide pricing and lead time for every line item. Pricing must include shipping and bidder-provided offloading at two delivery locations. Fifty percent of each insulator type is to be delivered to the Islamorada Substation, while only insulators go there; all remaining materials go to the Tavernier storage lot. The response must include a completed cost quote, bidder's statement, alternate-item descriptions and specifications where applicable, and a delivery schedule. Selection is based on material cost, quality, and availability. No bid bond or insurance is required.
