Description
BC Housing seeks an experienced nonprofit operator to take over a 10-bed emergency shelter and provide year-round shelter operations and support services. The operator will provide accommodation, meals, hygiene and laundry services, housing-focused case planning and referrals, and support for clients experiencing homelessness, substance use, or mental health challenges. Services must follow a minimal-barrier, harm-reduction approach and include coordination with community providers. The selected operator must maintain staffing, facility operations, safety, and required client services, and submit an operating budget and staffing schedule within the stated maximum annual budget of $800,000. The proposal must address organizational experience, service delivery, community partnerships, operational capacity, budget and staffing, equity and inclusion, and reconciliation. Subcontracting is prohibited under the stated service requirements.
