Description
The City seeks a contractor to remove and replace the existing 12,470-volt medium-voltage primary switchgear serving its water and wastewater treatment facilities. Work includes coordinating power shutdown and reconnection, disposing of the existing oil-filled switchgear and oil, installing and testing the new switchgear and associated electrical distribution components, and restoring the site. Associated work includes excavation, trench safety, a retaining wall, a concrete riser, and crushed-rock fill. Bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the total bid, a bid proposal, contractor qualifications, a non-collusion affidavit, and the required wage-payment compliance certification. The subcontractor list and subcontractor qualifications have separate submission timing requirements. The selected contractor must perform at least 50% of the awarded contract price with its own personnel and equipment. The stated construction estimate is $50,000–$150,000.
