Description
Wicomico County is soliciting bids for the purchase and removal of baled recyclable materials from the Solid Waste Division’s Newland Park Landfill. The inventory includes approximately 300–330 bales of old corrugated cardboard, 36 bales of PET plastic, 96 bales of mixed plastics numbered 1–7, and 32 bales of natural HDPE. County landfill employees will load the bales onto the successful vendor’s transportation, and the vendor’s vehicles must be weighed at the County’s certified scales before and after loading. Vendors must submit prices per short ton for each material, inclusive of all fees and costs associated with accepting the recyclables. Loading is coordinated Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the County’s e-procurement portal, including a completed bid submission and a fully executed Affidavit of Qualification to Bid. Vendors must provide descriptive literature fully describing the products bid and a Maryland Certificate of Status evidencing good standing. The County intends to award to the responsive and responsible vendor offering the highest price per short ton. The stated contract-period dates contain an apparent inconsistency and should be verified through the procurement portal or an addendum.
