Description
The U.S. General Services Administration is seeking a contractor for a project-driven term contract covering the processing and removal of Government-owned DEMIL A scrap at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. Materials may include large industrial equipment, aerospace hardware, test articles, pressure vessels, tanks, structural steel assemblies, manufacturing equipment, fabrication scrap, obsolete machinery, and oversized ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. Individual projects may require dismantling, torch cutting, mechanical size reduction, rigging, crane operations, heavy lifting, loading, transportation preparation, removal, and incidental site cleanup and restoration. Bidders must submit a single fixed purchase price in dollars per pound for each verified pound of property removed. A mandatory pre-bid site inspection is required, and the apparent successful bidder must furnish a $60,000 performance guarantee as a condition of award.
