Description
The Navy is conducting market research for maintenance, repair, and preservation of the YT-812 harbor tug. The work includes docking and undocking; hull, freeboard, deck, and superstructure blasting, coating, and inspections; tank cleaning, testing, preservation, and potable-water certification; structural and sea-valve repairs; hydraulic hose replacement; propulsion, Z-drive, transmission cooler, HVAC, electrical, and piping repairs and modifications; and dock and sea trials. The Government will transport the vessel to the contractor’s repair facility, where the work will be performed. This is a Sources Sought notice for capability and interest information, not a request for quotation. Interested companies are asked to submit a signed letter of interest on company letterhead, describing their capabilities and answering five questions about business size, relevant recent past performance, organizational and technical capability, NAVSEA boat-repair agreements, and anticipated interest in quoting a future solicitation. Responses are limited to five pages and requested by November 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
