Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting quotes for two firm-fixed-price noxious weed treatment requirements on the Fort Pierre National Grassland: War Creek Wildfire treatment, with a stated amount of $30,000, and post-prescribed-fire treatment, with a stated amount of $60,000. Contractors must provide labor, transportation, equipment, herbicide, carrier agent, water, personal protective equipment, supervision, permits, and licenses. Treatment targets Canada thistle, bull thistle, musk thistle, and absinth wormwood using spot-spray herbicide applications, including GrazonNext HL at the specified application rate. Contractors must be properly licensed for pesticide use in South Dakota and comply with applicable herbicide-handling and environmental requirements. The work includes GPS mapping of treated areas, application records, quality control, a work plan, and a progress schedule. Quotes must include pricing for both requirements, a technical proposal, relevant past performance information, and a quality control plan. The technical proposal is limited to one page, the quality control plan to three pages, and no cover pages or pictures may be included. The period of performance is September 23, 2026, through August 31, 2027.
