Description
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is soliciting bids for removal and disposal of existing interior and exterior window film and installation of new interior-applied spectrally selective solar-control film at its Administration Building. The project covers approximately 14,340 square feet of glazing, including approximately 10,140 square feet of vertical glazing and 4,200 square feet of angled or sloped glazing. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, access equipment, protection, cleaning, disposal, permits, and incidentals. The scope also includes temporary relocation, storage, disassembly, protection, and reassembly of office furniture and workstations; phased work in an occupied and operational building; maintenance of traffic; three full-size mock-ups representing the base bid and two alternate film products; product data, comparative performance data, thermal compatibility analyses, installer qualifications, work and staffing plans, and warranties. The apparent low bidder must provide mock-ups for owner evaluation before final product selection. The solicitation requires a Florida general contractor's license, three similar project references completed within the last ten years, a five-year workmanship warranty, and a ten-year material warranty or the manufacturer's longer warranty. The project is expected to begin after a notice to proceed in November 2026 and reach final completion by March 5, 2027.
