Description
The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority is soliciting bids for the purchase of channelizers used to separate the SB Express Lanes from general-purpose lanes. The channelizers prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering the express lanes and are intended to maintain an adequate supply for ongoing operations and future express-lane openings. The approved product is the Pexco FG336UR Channelizer, although bidders may request approval for an equal product supported by technical data. The estimated requirement is approximately 400 channelizers remaining in inventory needs, with an annual operational replacement requirement of approximately 434 units. The contract includes a three-year base term and may include two additional one-year option terms. Bids must include the Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Certificate of Compliance with Insurance Requirements; the Contractor Questionnaire is also included among the bid forms. Insurance compliance is required, including commercial general liability coverage of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence.
