Description
The Placentia Library District is soliciting bids for construction of screens around HVAC equipment located on the library roof and on the north side of the building at ground level. The work includes furnishing and installing galvanized steel HSS posts, metal connectors, galvanized H-channels, and 1/2-inch frost-finish acrylic panels; installing and anchoring posts to existing concrete footings and walls; cutting out and replacing concrete; epoxy anchoring; inspections; cutting and patching; site security; privacy screening; cleanup; and required permits. The project documents also require coordination with structural and architectural plans, shop drawings and product data, certified welding and anchor installation where applicable, prevailing-wage compliance, and adherence to California building and safety codes. Bids are lump sum and must include the contractor's qualifications, similar project experience, at least three references, subcontractor information, a schedule of values, licensing and registration information, and the required bid security. The successful contractor must complete the work within 85 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and provide performance and payment bonds before contract award.
