St. Charles County is soliciting bids for a vendor to supply and service uniforms for eleven employees in the Highway Maintenance Facilities Department. The services will be provided at four locations across the county: Central District Shed, Eastern District Shed, Southern District Shed, and Western District Shed. The vendor will be responsible for providing button-down shirts (short and long sleeve), non-pleated pants, non-pleated shorts, and insulated winter coats. Specific fabric requirements include polyester/cotton blends that are durable and moisture-wicking. The vendor must also provide durable emblems for identification, with the design to be mutually agreed upon. Sizing up to 5XL for shirts and 50-inch waists for pants will be accommodated without oversize surcharges. The vendor must clearly state the life expectancy for each clothing article under the rental program and provide a serial number for tracking. The service includes weekly pickup and delivery of uniforms, sorted by employee. Uniforms must be delivered clean, wrinkle-free, and ready to wear. The vendor will supply laundry baskets or lockers on-site for uniform returns. The rental program includes providing eleven short-sleeve shirts and eleven pairs of pants per employee, with options for long-sleeve shirts, shorts, and insulated coats at quoted prices. Damaged articles due to reckless or malicious employee activity may be reimbursed at actual cost after county authorization. The contract is for an approximate twelve-month period from the notice of award, with two additional twelve-month renewal options.
