Description
The City of Glendale, Missouri is soliciting bids for the North Sappington Road Preservation project. This project involves work along North Sappington Road from West Lockwood Avenue to Manchester Road. Key tasks include the installation of new decorative crosswalks, roadway resurfacing, replacement of concrete sidewalks with ADA-compliant curb ramps, replacement of concrete curb and gutter, driveway approach replacement, inlet and manhole adjustments, side street intersection widening, installation of a new pedestrian signal, sodding, and pavement markings. Plans and specifications can be obtained from Drexel Technologies. A non-refundable fee will be charged. Bidders are required to be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List, and a contractor questionnaire must be on file seven days prior to the bid opening. Additionally, contractors and sub-contractors must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program for on-site employees within sixty days of starting work. A certified cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the proposal is required. The City of Glendale reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will award the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project is 0%, and no second-tier subcontracting will be allowed.
