Description
The Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center requires a firm-fixed-priced, 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for uniform rental, repair, and laundering services. These services will support the Environmental Management Services (EVS), Nutrition and Food Services (NFS), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Facilities Management Services (FMS) departments. The contract includes detailed specifications for uniform provision, including sizing, material requirements, and the addition of service-line-specific patches and American flag patches at no additional cost. The contractor will be responsible for providing a sufficient inventory of new uniforms for each employee, with an average uniform life of approximately two years, and replacements will be provided at no cost to the VA if they do not meet acceptable condition standards. Repairs are also to be completed within one week of pickup or the uniform replaced. Services include twice-weekly pickup of soiled uniforms and delivery of clean, laundered uniforms, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM ET. The contract period of performance is anticipated to be from July 20, 2026, through July 19, 2031.
