Description
Toronto Community Housing Corporation is establishing a roster of qualified contractors for capital repair projects categorized as envelope and structural construction. Work may include repairing, replacing, fabricating, and installing portable and fixed railings, roof access ladders, safety cages and fall-protection systems, metal fences, gates, and other miscellaneous metal components. The attached specifications identify roof ladder replacement and guardrail installation at ten Toronto sites, including engineered hot-dip galvanized steel ladders, non-penetrating and wall-mounted guardrails, roof-hatch safety railings with self-closing gates, demolition and patching, anchor testing, shop drawings sealed by an Ontario-licensed professional engineer, site safety, tenant protection, cleanup, and related coordination. Applicants must demonstrate relevant company and project experience, submit five comparable projects completed within the last five years with a minimum value of $30,000 each, provide qualified site-supervisor certifications, and address service delivery, quality control, subcontractor management, and key personnel qualifications. Successful roster vendors will compete for later project-specific requests for quotation; the roster provides no guaranteed project volume or award amount.
