Description
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking a contractor to pick up, deliver, and clean diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) used on model-year 2010–2023 transit buses equipped with Cummins ISC, ISL, and ISB diesel engines. Components must be baked at 900–1,200°F, cleaned until pressure drop is below two inches of water column at the manufacturer’s required airflow, and returned with documentation showing pressure-drop measurements before and after cleaning. The contractor must properly dispose of removed ash and include pickup and delivery costs in the unit prices. Pickup is required within 24 hours of notification and cleaned components must be returned within 36 hours of pickup, excluding weekends. The three-year contract has estimated annual usage of 60 DPF cleanings and 40 DOC cleanings in the first year, with forecasted reductions in years two and three. Proposals will be evaluated on technical criteria, cost, and qualifications and experience. The submission must include a technical proposal, cost proposal, required vendor and procurement forms, insurance documentation, and the Bonfire questionnaire. No specific MWBE or SDVOB participation goals are established, although SDVOB participation is encouraged.
