Description
The Bureau of Land Management is soliciting a firm-fixed-price stewardship services contract for commercial thinning and forest health improvement approximately 19 miles southwest of Buffalo, Wyoming. The work covers 233 acres in two treatment units: a 40 basal-area thin on approximately 215 acres and a 20 basal-area thin on approximately 18 acres. Required services include equipment mobilization, road maintenance, ground-based logging, felling, skidding, decking, hauling, slash management, erosion control, temporary road rehabilitation, and restoration of skid trails and landings. The contractor will also remove designated commercial forest products, including estimated quantities of Douglas fir sawlogs, ponderosa pine sawlogs, and other-than-log material. The contractor must furnish personnel, supervision, qualified equipment operators, equipment, transportation, supplies, traffic controls, safety and logging plans, fire-prevention equipment, and certified weighing and load-ticket documentation. The technical quotation must address the proposed approach, product-removal destinations, road work, understory removal and mulching, workforce, schedule, and safety plan, as well as relevant experience on similar contracts completed within the last three years. The requirement is a total small-business set-aside, with performance scheduled from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2029.
