Description
The Shelby County Board of Education is soliciting bids for a one-year contract, with two optional one-year extensions, to supply bottled water, drinking cups, and water cooler rental services for its Child Nutrition Program. The contract will begin July 1, 2026. The vendor must be able to supply 5-gallon water containers (distilled, natural spring, filtered, and purified), rent top-loading and bottom-loading coolers capable of holding 5-gallon containers, provide disposable cups in various sizes (7 oz plastic, 8 oz, 12 oz, and 16 oz styrofoam), and supply bottled spring and purified water in 10 oz, 16.9 oz, and 20 oz sizes. Services include ongoing cleaning and maintenance of coolers, delivery to all Shelby County school sites, and provision of usage reports. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, with consideration of quality, conformity, delivery, and past performance. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including the Alabama Immigration Law, and must submit various certifications and affidavits with their bid.
