Description
Lee County is soliciting a contractor to construct the Palm Creek Lower Filter Marsh. The project includes development of a cellular pond and wetland network on approximately 8.52 acres within a larger county parcel; clearing and grubbing; excavation of approximately 46,100 cubic yards; off-site transport and leveling of excess spoils; construction of a gravel access road, stabilized maintenance surface, and aggregate pathway; filter marsh plantings; and installation of weir, diversion, and outfall control structures. Addendum 2 provides a geotechnical report, spoil receiving site plan, and excess spoil removal plan. The plan identifies approximately 45,717 cubic yards of net cut and approximately 57,146 cubic yards of loose fill for transport to 17031 N River Road, Alva, Florida, using an approximately nine-mile haul route. Bidders must complete the County's electronic Bid Invitation and Bid Schedule, acknowledge the issued addenda, and submit the specified affidavits, disclosures, subcontractor information, bid bond, business registration, certificates and licenses, and other requested attachments. Responses may be submitted electronically through the Ion Wave portal or hand-delivered as sealed bids. The project is a one-time construction effort; the response deadline remains October 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
