Description
The City of Milwaukee is soliciting a vendor to furnish and install two new, identical Clean Burn CB-3500 waste oil furnaces with no substitutes permitted. The scope includes manufacturer-required components and accessories, fuel delivery piping from existing storage tanks, compressed-air connections, venting and chimney systems, EPDM roof penetrations, mounting and rigging, permits, inspections, testing, start-up, commissioning, operational and maintenance training, closeout documentation, and restoration associated with the work. Building electrical power work is excluded and will be provided by the City, but the vendor must provide furnace-mounted controls, wiring, safeties, and electrical connection information. The vendor must provide manufacturer warranty support, at least a one-year workmanship warranty, and local authorized service support with a 48-hour response to warranty service requests. Bidders must demonstrate applicable Wisconsin HVAC credentials, Clean Burn authorization or factory training, warranty-service authorization, and comparable experience, including at least two waste-oil furnace installations completed within the last five years. The contract is awarded on a total-price basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
