Description
The Town of Richmond is soliciting sealed bids from licensed and qualified contractors for improvements to its public water system, including submersible mixing systems, remote monitoring, and security improvements. The project includes mechanical and electrical installation, instrumentation wiring and terminations, equipment supports, system testing, startup, operational validation, final sanitization, flushing, analytical validation, and operation and maintenance manuals. The specifications identify a submersible mixing system for a 500,000-gallon Kingstown Road pedestal spheroid tank, including a vortex-type mixer, control panel, power cable, local disconnect, and associated accessories. The work also includes compliance with applicable prevailing-wage, disadvantaged-business-enterprise/minority-business-enterprise, American Iron and Steel, Build America, Buy America, and other federal and state requirements. A bid bond or certified check, subcontractor and supplier lists, project references, qualification documentation, licensing information, debarment forms, certificate of good standing, and Rhode Island MBE utilization documentation are required with the bid.
