Description
Hillsborough County Public Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide new or replacement marquee signs on an as-needed basis throughout the district. The scope includes all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, incidentals, and related work necessary to complete projects in accordance with the specifications. Proposers must submit standard and non-standard crew-and-equipment hourly rates, with required equipment such as bucket trucks, lifts, cranes, augers, and similar equipment included in the rates. Contractors may be required to make electrical connections, while HCPS provides permits and permit costs. The solicitation specifies Optec electronic message centers and requires lifetime technical support, software updates, training, and technical support at no additional cost, which may be satisfied through the manufacturer's warranty. The electronic message center size range is 3 feet by 7 feet to 8 feet by 12 feet, excluding separately added header and base dimensions. Contractors must be fully qualified at proposal submission, have at least five years of experience providing the required goods and services, and possess a valid electrical contractor's license; an Electrical Sign Contractor's license is acceptable. HCPS may make separate primary and secondary awards across three maintenance areas. Addendum 2 confirms the correct solicitation number as 26369-RFP-MST, clarifies that the work is for new signs on an as-needed basis, confirms that specialized equipment must be included in the hourly rate, and requires acknowledgment of the addendum.
