Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for Project 539-336, involving construction of a 6,000-square-foot addition above the sixth floor and renovation of 9,500 square feet of existing seventh-floor mental health space, for a total project area of 15,500 square feet. The future procurement is expected to use a competitive, firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build contract and may be issued as an RFP or IFB after market research is completed. The work is expected to include hazardous-materials abatement, uninterrupted critical service lines, infection control, cranes, fall protection, phased construction, and structural, architectural, fire-protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications work. Respondents must submit a capabilities statement with company and business information, a statement of interest, bonding capacity documentation, up to three comparable projects completed within the last seven years, relevant technical capabilities and personnel, and self-performed work details. The response is limited to eight single-sided pages and must be a single application-generated PDF of no more than 4 MB.
