Description
This lump-sum general construction project includes mobilization and site protection; demolition and disposal; replacement of the existing playground; replacement of mesh on interior chain-link fences; resurfacing of tennis and basketball courts; reconstruction of handball backstops; replacement of benches; installation of new wayfinding and sitewide signage; and closeout documents, including warranties. Addendum No. 1 provides additional electrical-room conditions, roof-loading information, pre-bid materials, and clarifications. Bidders must account for site access, staging, equipment-loading limitations, coordination with concurrent restroom construction, and protection of park patrons. The estimated contract amount is $5,025,729.00 to $6,799,515.00, with completion within 550 calendar days after approval by the New York State Comptroller. The bid requires $295,650.00 in bid security, a completed Gender-Based Violence and the Workplace Certification or signed explanatory statement, a contractor registration certificate, and acknowledgment of Addendum No. 1 on the bid form. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor-and-material/payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount. Participation goals are 17% MBE, 13% WBE, and 4% SDVOB.
