Description
The District seeks proposals to establish a prequalified list of vendors for as-needed charter bus service for student, staff, and chaperone trips, including field trips, athletic activities, and other extracurricular activities. Service includes in-county and out-of-county travel, with pricing requested for multiple bus sizes, trip durations, mileage, overnight trips, cancellation fees, and limousine service. Vendors must provide suitable, maintained, air-conditioned buses with at least 20-passenger capacity, meet vehicle and driver safety requirements, and maintain adequate spare vehicles. Subcontracting is limited to carriers already on the District’s authorized commercial carrier list. Proposals must include the requested company, regulatory, vehicle, safety, and customer-reference information, along with cost pricing and specified certifications and affidavits. The District intends to award to one or more responsive, responsible vendors with the highest evaluation scores. The initial contract term is one year, with three one-year renewal options and up to three additional 30-day extensions. Insurance certificates are required before work begins; the solicitation also specifies minimum liability coverage.
