Description
George Mason University seeks one or more vendors to provide charter bus transportation for its intercollegiate sports teams, including local, regional, and national trips and airport shuttles. The university anticipates approximately 200 charter bus trips and airport shuttles in a typical school year. Vendors must provide company-owned buses and qualified drivers, maintain safe and properly equipped vehicles, and support accessible transportation. Buses must offer specified passenger amenities, including Wi-Fi, and display university athletics signage. The scope also includes trip routing, contingency planning for breakdowns and emergencies, and a sponsorship or marketing component. Proposals must include a completed pricing schedule, small-business subcontracting plan, executive summary, qualifications and experience, references, service methodology, fleet information, transition plan, current insurance and operating-authority documentation, and a sample invoice. The contract is planned for a one-year initial term with four one-year renewal options. The incumbent is Academy Express, LLC, under contract GMU-1760-22, which expires June 30, 2027; the new contractor must be able to start July 1, 2027.
