Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting sealed bids for the 4th Street Mobility Improvements Project and Downtown Bus Stop Improvements Project, Specification No. PW 23-59. The work includes new concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, roadway and driveway reconstruction, electrical conduit and pull boxes for street lighting and traffic signals, bus shelters and street furniture, bike lanes, landscaping, irrigation, storm-drain lines, utility-cover adjustments, and traffic striping along 4th Street from C Street to Oxnard Boulevard, with striping continuing along 4th Street and Meta Street to the intersection of Meta Street and 6th Street. Approximately 50 downtown bus stops will also be improved through removal and replacement of curb, gutter, sidewalk, pavement, traffic signals, street lighting, street trees, and tree-well grates; asphalt placement and compaction; excavation; concrete work; and related reconstruction. The project incorporates the Greenbook standard specifications and requires coordination with utility companies for minor upward adjustments to third-party utility facilities. Addendum No. 1 revises plan pages 33–37, requires bidders to acknowledge the addendum in the PlanetBids portal, clarifies bid items and quantities, and states that the engineer’s estimate ranges from $9 million to $9.25 million. A Class A General Engineering Contractor license is required.
