Description
The Utah Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from contractors prequalified through the Division of Facilities Construction and Management Stage I process. The project involves renovating approximately 13,000 square feet of third-floor office space at the Clearwater Office, with no changes to the building core, exiting, egress, or restrooms. The construction budget is $350,000, and substantial completion is required by December 31, 2026. The work includes demolition and renovation of interior partitions, gypsum board, acoustical ceilings, flooring, painting, doors and frames, electrical power and lighting, structured cabling, access-control and fire-alarm modifications, and HVAC demolition, ductwork, diffusers, and balancing. A limited asbestos and lead-based paint survey found no asbestos-containing materials or lead-based paint in the tested renovation areas. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond with the bid, and the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds.
