Description
The 42nd Force Support Squadron requires repair, replacement, and related maintenance for ten commercial walk-in coolers and freezers at three Maxwell Air Force Base facilities. Work includes removing and disposing of existing refrigeration systems and refrigerants; furnishing and installing condensing units, evaporator assemblies, copper and PVC piping, insulation, electrical connections, controls, mounting hardware, and refrigerant charges; and replacing leaking, failed, obsolete, or aging components. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, lift or crane coordination, cleanup, waste disposal, permits, and safety compliance. Work must be phased to keep the facilities operational, completed within 120 calendar days after issuance of the purchase order or notice to proceed, and performed primarily during specified weekday work hours. EPA Section 608-certified technicians and certified electricians are required where applicable, and manufacturer warranties plus at least a one-year workmanship warranty must be provided.
