Description
The City of Branson is soliciting a qualified firm or individual to provide professional state lobbying services. The contractor will represent the City's interests before the Missouri Legislature, work at the direction of the Board of Aldermen to influence legislation, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, provide updates and reports, secure sponsorship of bills or amendments, advocate before legislators and the Governor's Office, present testimony when requested, and advise the City on legislation, regulatory actions, court matters, and initiative petitions. The contractor must maintain a continuous presence in Jefferson City and attend related legislative functions as requested. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with up to three successive one-year extensions at the City's option. Proposals must include organizational and key-personnel information, resumes, an organization chart, relevant lobbying experience, at least five recent public-entity references from the past five years, the proposed approach, service location and responsiveness plan, cost information, and the listed compliance forms and certifications. The solicitation requires Missouri lobbyist registration and specifies Arial font, a minimum 12-point size, portrait formatting, and a one-page cover letter.
