Description
The City of Springfield is seeking qualified firms or providers to furnish temporary personnel on an as-needed basis for various city departments and divisions. The provider must supply all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, taxes, insurance, fuel, permits, and other items necessary to perform the work. Anticipated positions include laborers, maintenance workers, accounting clerks, administrative office assistants, and computer technicians; other classifications may also be requested. Temporary employees generally may work no more than 28 hours per week unless approved in writing by the City's Director of Human Resources or designee. The solicitation provides for a one-year term contract with four additional one-year renewal options. Proposal materials include provider information, consultant and personnel qualifications, references and experience, project approach, fee schedule, compliance affidavit, conflict-of-interest certification, anti-discrimination certification, and conditional addenda or additional-agreement submissions. The provider is responsible for required employment-related administration, including payroll deductions, taxes, insurance obligations, background and other screening checks, safety equipment, substitute staffing, and employee placement support.
