Description
The City of Livonia Department of Public Works seeks a contractor to provide right-of-way tree trimming and maintenance, including section pruning, residential service requests, and emergency response to storm damage. Work may include trimming, pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, and cleanup and disposal of debris. The contractor must provide the labor, equipment, tools, and materials, and comply with applicable tree-care, safety, and traffic-control standards. The scope covers approximately 2,626 trees for the 2027 contract year, with an optional, mutually agreed two-year extension covering 2028 and 2029. Bidders must have at least five years of continuous experience in tree work and have completed municipal contracts of comparable magnitude. The bid must include an equipment list, the completed pricing proposal form, and a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid. Subcontracting requires prior City approval. The specifications also require qualified tree-care personnel, including an ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Certified Tree Climber on the crew.
