Description
The Colorado Department of Transportation is soliciting a prime contractor under a competitive sealed best-value process to construct a new 3,294-square-foot mobility hub administrative building and associated site and utility improvements. The completed facility will support Bustang and Grand Valley Transit and will include bus bays, six custom bus shelters, pedestrian and bicycle amenities, a self-cleaning restroom, public information displays, security cameras, emergency telephones, bike racks and lockers, passenger pickup and drop-off areas, a public plaza, employee and short-term parking, lighting, signage, and related landscaping and stormwater improvements. The work includes demolition, excavation, grading, paving, concrete, foundations, masonry, structural steel and wood construction, roofing, doors and windows, casework, plumbing, HVAC, electrical distribution and lighting, communications, access control, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, water and sanitary sewer connections, stormwater controls, and utility coordination. The contractor must obtain required permits and inspections and comply with prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, Buy America Build America, Buy Clean Colorado, Colorado labor, on-the-job training, stormwater, and environmental requirements. The estimated project cost is $12,000,000, and the project includes a $1,200,000 construction contingency. Substantial completion is anticipated 365 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, followed by final acceptance 45 calendar days later.
