Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires rental of Hill-Rom or equal hospital beds, therapeutic surfaces and mattresses, trapezes, and bariatric recliners for James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital. The requirement covers nine equipment categories, including surgical beds, ICU-grade hospital bed systems, air-fluidized therapy beds, low-air-loss pressure-redistributing therapy surfaces, and bariatric recliners with integrated therapeutic surfaces. Offerors must provide pricing and technically compliant equipment coverage for all nine categories; a single award is intended. Rental rates are expected to be all-inclusive of delivery, setup, pickup, maintenance, repairs, replacement of defective equipment, and required training. The contractor must provide delivery and retrieval on an as-needed basis, installation and calibration, cleaning and decontamination, operator manuals and training, maintenance, repairs, replacement equipment within 24 hours when required, and 24/7/365 support. Equal products must be supported by product brochures, specification sheets, and warranty information. Non-OEM offerors must submit a current OEM authorization letter explicitly listing the offeror and authorizing the required rental and support services for all proposed models. The contract will be firm-fixed-price and evaluated using lowest-price technically acceptable procedures. Amendment 0001 clarifies that quantities are not-to-exceed rental-day quantities, removes the lease-to-purchase requirement, corrects the option-period dates, and confirms that the current incumbent is Hill-Rom Inc.
