Description
The Coachella Valley Association of Governments seeks a qualified consulting firm to design approximately five shade structures, 26 native shade trees, and associated improvements at five existing CV Link rest-stop locations. Services include preliminary engineering, surveying and site investigations, geotechnical analysis, civil and structural engineering, landscape architecture, irrigation and electrical design, permitting and agency coordination, preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, and bidding and construction support. The attached package includes a draft professional services agreement, a required RFP response form, a non-collusion declaration, a project location map, and a grant agreement. The response form requests prime consultant information, signatory details, applicable professional licenses and DIR registration, proposed subconsultants, service responsibilities, three comparable project references, litigation and responsibility disclosures, conflict-of-interest disclosures, any requested exceptions, addenda acknowledgment, and certification and signature. The non-collusion declaration must also be completed. The draft agreement describes insurance requirements, including workers’ compensation, commercial general liability of $1,000,000, and automobile coverage with minimum limits of $100,000/$300,000/$25,000; these are agreement requirements, not identified as proposal-time submission items. The agreement also states that subcontracting requires written authorization, subject to its stated exceptions.
